Using the App for the first time, it become apparent there is a need to work on hand/ eye coordination. There is a very slight delay between the movement of my hand and the image on my screen. This is actually a good thing if your goal is to learn to draw without this sort of aid.
Art teachers tell me that I need to learn to draw without looking at my paper, but rather by looking at the subject. This helps develop a feel for the subject. This app does that.
The directions for building a stand for my I phone were indispensable. I altered them to include a large base that doubles as my drawing board.
Im new to drawing/painting, so this might only apply to me: if Im going to screw up a piece of work, it will be during the first 30 minutes when Im doing the outline. Using the Camera Lucida eliminates that.
